Liquid diet- Dia 3!!!!!

So I've almost made it through most of day 3.  I felt SO much better today at work.  I'm actually going out tonight with a few friends but I'm hoping alcohol won't be tempting.  I sound like an alcoholic but the truth is, almost every social event revolves around a "social drink".  Therefore, I know I will be put to the test tonight as I stand there with a nice looking lean bottle of water while everyone sips on their "social drinks".  I'm hanging in there though...three days are THREE days and I can't slip.

Oh and I forgot to mention yesterday that I got myself a nice digital scale!!!! No more wondering what the little arrow is actually pointing at.  I gotta say, this scale is awesome!! Good deal too- only $40!!  I'm not going to weigh myself tonight but I'll do it tomorrow and hopefully see a lower number.

Can I be honest?  I am THRILLED with excitement!! I only made the decision to get the Lap-Band a month ago and did all my courses, tests, and lab work in the last three weeks.  I know it seems a bit impulsive but I've been carrying this weight around for TOO long!  A change needs to happen asap...and it starts HERE

  1. Isn't it amazing how fast things move? My journey started off quickly as well. I'm telling ya, girl, make it through the pre-op diet and the rest will seem so much easier :):)

  2. Good scales are worth it. My old set used to give a different reading every time I stood on them (scales didn't move but I would get on and off 3 times in a row and took the middle reading). My new ones give me the same result bang on every time. I have so much more confidence in how accurate they are.

  3. Woohoo! The first 3 days are the hardest, it gets easier from here on in. I also made up my mind and got all my tests done within a month. When you know, you know! It's the best decision I ever made! Stay strong tonight!

  4. The lap band was also one of the best decisions I have ever made.
It was like a weight off my shoulder when I decided to do this and save my life.
